IMPORTANT: Shea butter melts at around 90°F, so hot weather may cause it to melt during shipping. If it cools at room temperature, the fatty acids can separate, creating a grainy texture. To avoid this, if your product has melted upon opening your package, place the shea butter in the refrigerator for a few hours before opening and let it solidify. Once solidified, it can be stored at room temperature below 90°F. Melted and cooled shea butter will be firmer than whipped shea butter and the volume will look smaller (whipped body butter contains air and melting causes the air to release) but will still feel smooth and creamy on the skin while providing all the herbal skin benefits.
